Wood is the most popular type of eco raised garden bed, because it is the easiest to work with and is inexpensive. Some other alternatives are brick, concrete, natural stone or landscaping blocks. These of course are nice options, but more expensive. Although it is they are for life. As opposing to wood, wood will eventually rot and need to be replaced sooner or later.
